DeLea attended her first CREi Summit last year and was blown away by the people, synergy, and abundance of shared ‘secrets’ to building a social media brand. Not only did she make the list but she ranked 26 out of 150… a nice baseline when she’s set on reaching #1. 2020 & 2021 = Epic, Challenging, Chaotic, Booming Market & Money to Spend

2022 is a New Year, but the writing on the wall shows we are in for more of the same, particularly if you are in the Commercial Real Estate industry. There is more liquid money in the market than ever before. People are eager to Make Money and Invest Money to Protect Wealth. At Beck-Reit we could work 24/7 but to perform and be at “Top Of Our Game” we need to “Slow Down to Speed Up”.

It started when DeLea and Mark met for the 1st time for breakfast at Chumikals in 2017 (a favorite East Austin Joint for both) and the breakfast stretched into lunch. A couple of days later the property was toured and under contract - the rest is Award-Winning History!

The inspiring architects at Dick Clark & Associates have been rightfully recognized for their incredible office design at 2120 E 7th St - winning the Austin Business Journal’s 2021 CRE award for Best Office Rehab.

Originally an 80s pawnshop, 2120 E 7th was built like a concrete bunker with just one window and no insulation or even air conditioning for most of the space. DCA’s ground up design and construction has transformed the site into an eye-catching functional space perfect for creative office and retail needs.

Beck-Reit’s Previous Office Will Be Razed for Mixed-Use Development

Beck-Reit & Sons Construction performed a gut renovation at 2131 Theo between 2014-2016, an adaptive reuse project that turned the aging auto repair shop into a 5-unit creative office space with shared conference room, kitchen, and lobby. The finished project was managed by Beck-Reit Asset Management and leased by Beck-Reit Commercial Real Estate until 2020, when the developers came knocking with an offer we couldn’t refuse.

East Austin:

In many ways, development has displaced the cultural arts traditions of East Austin, long the home of the city’s Black community. Now, its champions — Black artists, creatives and community leaders — are working to restore that soul.

2426 Webberville closed last week just 75 days after initially meeting with our client. Our process included vetting a total of 11 potential properties, 3 of which were Off-Market. 2 property tours followed, and then Webberville was under contract. #DeLeaDunksAnotherDeal

Texas #WinterStorm21 pushed the nation #Bizwomen #MentoringMonday to Monday March 8th in Austin, which happened to be International Women’s Day. So, our Owner/Founder DeLea Becker kicked of the day meeting with over 100 Women In Business seeking advice, guidance, and mentorship from Women in Business who are experts in their field.

6 years ago, Beck-Reit sold one of our mixed-use propertys in East Austin and did a 1031 exchange into 2 properties. 1 was a Ferrari Repair Shop on Theo Dr. off Airport Blvd near The Mueller Development. Our full redevelopment transformed the space into 5 unique creative office spaces with a shared kitchen common area and conference room. Now, just 6 years later, the property has been picked up by Cumby Development as the last piece of a new multi-family development getting ready to break ground.
