DeLea Becker Wins NAR National Commercial Award

Real Estate Broker and multiple business owner recognized for service-- DeLea Becker receives NAR National Commercial Award!

The National Association of Realtors just announced the recipients of the NAR 2018 Commercial Award, and Beck-Reit’s DeLea Becker is among them.

DeLea is the owner of Beck-Reit Commercial Real Estate and Beck-Reit Asset Management, as well as an active broker, so she wears many hats to keep on top of the East Austin commercial market. Her first project on the real estate scene was in 2006, when she purchased a 6th street building to renovate with her husband. Since then she has leased over a dozen buildings, formed a second company to manage assets, and continues to invest in renovations of historic Austin buildings.

Before NAR recognition, DeLea was first nominated by a local Texan commercial group “for her dedication to the community and tenacity as a realtor, resulting in professional achievements on the national level who recognized the impact of her work on a national scale”. NAR’s Director for Commercial Development and Services, Jean Maday, explains that the winners “have made significant contributions and [substantially given their time] to further our industry and or assist in community programs. This is our way to acknowledge their efforts and the recognition they’ve earned”.

With over 1.3 million members, NAR is America’s largest trade association. For 2018, there were 79 Commercial Awards given, spanning 30 states.
