When you LOVE Texas commercial real estate you rarely stick to one “market”. You might specialize in 1 Market… I wasn’t dubbed the #QueenOfEastAustin because I was buying and selling buildings in San Antonio…. But one generally gets pulled to other cities when a good deal crosses their desk.
I started buying outside of Austin in 2017. We bought our Farm out close to Bastrop, then we bought a Taco Casa building in Houston and quickly a Boost Mobile in San Antonio. I have 4 buildings under contract for my 1031 Exchange- only 1 is in East Austin. I like the diversity so I always say “I Buy In The Texas Triangle”.
In all seriousness - each Market is different. I consider the major cities: Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Then there are all the terrific smaller markets - Waco, San Marcos, Brian - etc etc etc. Then those awesome small texas towns sprinkled in. It is important to know the nuances, population, industries, demographics, vacancy rates, and politics then has professional connections in the cities/area. And THAT IS FUN.
So, this podcast is going to cover all of that. What is going on in the State of Texas - Specifically issues that affect the Triangle. We are going to talk about businesses that straddle the different cities/towns. We are going to talk about Commercial Real Estate in each big city in each property type. Developments happening, economic incentives, what keeps us booming. Talk honestly about the pitfalls we see. Our line up of Guest Appearances will rock you!
